Technical Production Project Improvement Manager – RDM GROUP – Home office

Introduction

Supporting the Head of Operations and the mill manager in technical production projects deployment, ensuring the design and implementation of production process improvement without or with machinery modifications in accordance with the company’s strategic plan & approved investment.

You will report to the CTO of the Group. It’s a stand alone position working from the home office

Function

  • Take care of the production process analysis or a phase of production after new design, construction during the start-up  phases or after, involving all the team of construction finding the best path forward or improving the lead time
  • Coordinate the relevant technical bodies during the design implementation, construction and commissioning phases 
  • Collaborate with manufacturing technologists in the identification of automations that will improve the the efficiency of the production process in terms of both quantity and quality of the final product.
  • Understand the interactions between the variables that regulate the production process to be able to understand the interactions between the variables that govern the production process in order to manage them in the process optimization.
  • Ensure the definition of standards and control techniques for production processes, verifying their application
  • Support the identification of the possible causes of a problem.
  • Contribute to the engineering of the processes through the analysis of the data
  • Collaborate with production technologists in the identification of automations that improve the safety of production processes.
  • Maintain relations with technology suppliers and specialized consultancy firms, both to optimize and coordinate supply programmes and to identify the opportunities offered by technological evolution.
  • Support the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment for all their unit’s employees.
  • Monitor trends and best practices in his field and share them within the organization.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the maintenance process by monitoring and defining its KPIs.

Requirements

  • An engineering degree 
  • At lease 15 year experience within the paper / board industry
  • A track record in engineering / maintenance or production
  • Experience in managing CAPEX projects
  • Data driven and good analytical skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Flexibility to travel intensively (50-60%)
